Communications and Special Event Specialist (20 – 25 hours per week

Salary Range: $ 9.25 - 9.77
Under the supervision of the Director of Administration, the Communications and Special Event Specialist is responsible for coordinating and performing branch communication and special events. The candidate is also responsible for assisting the Membership and Marketing Director consistent marketing to members and staff through out the branch. Also acts as a committee liaison for special events.
The candidate must have two years minimum clerical experience, proficient record keeping skills and strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Publisher, Social Media and database management. Marketing and/or special events planning experience a plus but not required. The candidate must possess excellent communication, office and organizational skills and be able to multi-task during peak traffic times. This position requires a mature and effective individual in dealing with personnel and members. The candidate must be flexible and able to adapt to high pressure periods.
Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills required to perform well. Uses best practices and demonstrates up to date knowledge and skills in technology. Reinforces the Y's values within the organization and the community. Develops strategies to ensure staff and volunteers reflect the community.
