Under the Supervision of the Vice President of Development, the Coordinator of Corporate and Foundation Relations is part of the Association Development staff team.  Specifically, the Coordinator is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding corporations, corporate foundations, and private foundations, in support of the annual Invest in Youth Campaign as well as programmatic support.  S/he will be responsible for leading and managing the grants procurement process, as well as identifying new opportunities for growth, particularly in the areas of corporate partnerships, and developing and executing on multi-year planning goals to increase corporate and foundation revenue.  Greets everyone by using names whenever possible; extends thanks whenever appropriate; makes relationship building the number one priority at all times.  The position is responsible for ensuring that the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester is conveyed.



A Bachelor's degree and three years fundraising experience and track record of developing corporate partnerships required.  The candidate should be able demonstrate knowledge of current trends in corporate and foundation funding and the methods, practices and procedures for obtaining information about the giving programs of corporations and foundations.  Raiser's Edge experience highly preferred.  Work requires advanced computer literacy skills and keyboard proficiency to operate in multiple windows and manipulate files. Work requires interpersonal skills to communicate with team members and demonstrate a high level of social sensitivity when communicating with volunteers and donors.  Work requires mental and visual focus requiring mental application and attention to detail. Work is performed under tight deadlines, must possess excellent time management and functional organizational skills to manage a variety of tasks in a short period of time.
